We are seeking an Operations Support Specialist at the San Carlos, Palo Alto, and Hayward Airports (work is divided between those locations). This position also supports our pilots, employees, and management to accomplish our common goal of providing outstanding support and service to every JATO customer.

JOB TITLE: Operations Support Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Aircraft database updates
• Aircraft flight readiness to include spot-checking, stocking, and scheduling detailing
• Office readiness and facilities maintenance at San Carlos, Palo Alto, and Hayward Airports
• Support services for flight instructors (CFIs), aircraft squad leaders, and management
• Periodic dispatching and scheduling of aircraft
• Clerical work related to aircraft documentation and stocking
• Proactively working towards delivering high-quality customer experience
• Other various projects as needed

• Project management from inception to completion (experience with project management software a plus)

SCHEDULE:
The position is Wednesday – Saturdays with Tuesdays scheduled twice a month. Time off can be scheduled with advanced notice. All extended vacation time must be coordinated at least two months in advance, particularly over Holiday periods; this is to ensure vacation time is distributed equitably among all the staff. The offices are officially closed on most major Holidays, although flight operations may occur on those days.

COMPENSATION:
• $22-$26/hour depending on experience
• There are no current provisions for health insurance, sick time, or vacation time. Days off for vacation will be granted with prior arrangement and coordination in conjunction with other employee and management requests.
• All mileage for traveling to other airports, originating from San Carlos Airport (or other designated airport) for company business, will be paid at published rates.
