SMART REDUNDANCY
The Cirrus Perspective Touch+ flight deck incorporates smart redundancy, fault tolerance and a robust design to provide the safest, most reliable, all-digital flight deck available. Each aircraft is equipped with two alternators, two batteries, two Air Data Attitude and Heading Reference Systems (ADAHRS) and multiple electrical buses to isolate essential equipment. This ensures power will be supplied to all critical components — even if multiple power source failures occur.
STALL AND SPIN PROTECTION
From the very early stages of Cirrus aircraft development, stall and spin prevention have been central to the design as well as our flight training philosophy. Our SR Series aircraft incorporate a NASA-developed wing technology that features a “cuffed” discontinuous leading edge to minimize the potential for spin entry after an inadvertent stall. Plus, the digital autopilot enables Electronic Stability and Protection, which passively and unobtrusively helps correct unusual flight attitudes even when the autopilot is not engaged.
